God loved the world so much that He gave the most expensive gift of all, Jesus
As a church we love to give generously in a response to who God is, and all that He has done.
He is the giver of life, salvation, forgiveness, freedom and so much more.
Our giving flows not out of obligation or law, but from a place of heartfelt gratitude and a deep commitment to fulfilling God’s dream in the earth.
In giving, we acknowledge that God is first place in our lives and that we want to partner with His mission.
Every gift given to Oakley with Wootton whether big or small, is helping the Church to reach the world locally, nationally and globally with the love of God.
Oakley with Wootton is an independently financed registered charity.
It is only through the generosity of our members and friends that we are able to do what we do.
If you have been blessed by the ministry in some way and would like to contribute to the vision, here are some ways you can do this.
In each case, our Treasurer will let you have all the relevant details.
Please contact our Treasurer, Barnaby Rosevear on firstname.lastname@example.org
Regularly direct from your bank
The majority of our supporters give a fixed amount on a monthly basis by direct debit.
This can be either direct or in most cases through the Parish Giving Scheme, a central resource of the Church of England, which collects funds on our behalf and passes them on to us each month.
Regularly by cash or cheque
There is an envelope system for those who wish to give by cash or cheque perhaps on a weekly basis.
We do not take up a formal collection during Sunday services but there is an opportunity to make a donation on the collection plate when you attend.
Irregularly by cash, cheque or bank transfer
Some people’s situation leads them to give from time to time at irregular intervals. This can be done either by cash or cheque into the collection plate on a Sunday or by making a transfer direct from your bank.
To make a one-off gift simply click here to donate direct using the reference OWW. We will receive 100% of your gift through Virgin Giving.
Support from the taxman
For those who are tax payers, any donation can also be gift aided which means the church can claim an extra 25% back on every donation on completion of a simple one-time form.
Where does the money go?
All the money donated is used to support the work that is carried out in the Parish both within the life of the church and to support the mission of the church in the community and overseas.
Up to 10% of all the donations received by the church each year is given away to Christian Charities and causes on a local, national and worldwide basis.
We value every gift in support of the church’s work and hope very much that you will be able to continue at this difficult time.
For those who give via the Parish Giving Scheme, this is not being manned currently so please do not try to make changes to your current arrangements through them until after lockdown has been lifted.
For those who give by cash or cheque, whether through the envelope system or otherwise, if you are able to continue perhaps do so into your own “collection plate” at home and bring to church or the office once the current lockdown is lifted.
"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver"
