Giving

God loved the world so much that He gave the most expensive gift of all, Jesus.

As a church we love to give generously in a response to who God is and all that He has done.

British Pound Notes

God is the giver of life, salvation, forgiveness, freedom and so much more.

Our giving flows not out of obligation or law, but from a place of heartfelt gratitude and a deep commitment to fulfilling God’s dream in the earth.

In giving, we acknowledge that God is first place in our lives and that we want to partner with His mission.

Every gift given to Oakley with Wootton whether big or small, is helping the Church to reach the world locally, nationally and globally with the love of God.

Oakley with Wootton is an independently financed registered charity.

It is only through the generosity of our members and friends that we are able to do what we do.

If you have been blessed by the ministry in some way and would like to contribute to the vision, here are some ways you can do this.

In each case, our Treasurer will let you have all the relevant details.

Please contact our Treasurer, Simon Constantine on Treasurer@oww.church

Regularly direct from your bank

The majority of our supporters give a fixed amount on a monthly basis by direct debit.

This can be either direct or in most cases through the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS), a central resource of the Church of England, which collects funds on our behalf and passes them on to us each month. PGS also has the added advantage in that if you are a UK tax payer they can reclaim gift aid on our behalf.  Information Packs are available from the Church Office or take a look at the PGS website

By cash, bank transfer or cheque

Some people’s situation leads them to give from time to time at irregular intervals. This can be done either by cash or cheque, payable to Oakley with Wootton PCC, and put into the collection plate on a Sunday or by making a transfer direct from your bank. Please contact the Church Treasurer for bank details at treasurer@oww.church

We do not take up a formal collection during Sunday services but there is an opportunity to make a donation on the collection plate when you attend or at any time through the Church Office.

By card reader

There is also an option to give each Sunday using a card reader in the Church porch where you can choose an amount to give and simply swipe your debit/credit card as you enter or leave Church.

Support from the taxman

For those who are tax payers, any donation can also be gift aided which means the church can claim an extra 25% back on every donation on completion of a simple one-time form.

Where does the money go?

All the money donated is used to support the work that is carried out in the Parish both within the life of the church and to support the mission of the church in the community and overseas.

Up to 10% of all the donations received by the church each year is given away to Christian Charities and causes on a local, national and worldwide basis.
