Consultation

St Leonard’s - A Church for our time

consult

Consultation meetings on options for developing St Leonard’s Church building to make it fit for the 21st Century will be held on:

Sunday 24th January (After the 10:00 am service)

Thursday 25th February (At 7:30 pm)

Tuesday 15th March (At 7:30 pm)

All the meetings will be held in St Leonard’s Church.

About two years ago a consultation was held to explore whether there was a need for St Leonards Church building to be brought up to date with 21st century expectations of public buildings and places of worship. The resounding conclusion was that there was a need for change and as a result the Oakley with Wootton Parochial Church Council commissioned an architects practice to prepare options for improving the church. We are excited by the ideas that the architects have developed and we would like to share them with the Oakley community so that we can hear what you think of them. If you are unable to make either of the two above dates but would like to know more, then please contact the Parish Office on 782724.

At the end of this round of consultation we hope to have a consensus on which option is the closest fit to our needs so that we can progress to the next stage of the project.
