Joseph Pilates born in 1883 Germany, originally created this method of exercise as a mainstream form of conditioning for men.
However these days, it is far more likely to be regularly attended by women as a way of keeping fit.
Pilates is a mat based workout that will improve strength and flexibility by focusing on the core.
It is recommended by physiotherapist’s to reduce back injuries.
In short, Pilates can be for anyone and everyone!
We are currently looking at offering a class for Men every Monday at Oakley St Leonard’s Centre from 10.45-11.45 commencing Monday 16th April.
